Chardonnay
Our Chardonnay wonderfully expresses our soil and vintage conditions thanks to gentle handling in the vineyard and winery. Both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are made with a hands off approach in the winery. The hallmarks of our Chardonnays are their elegance, glamour and finery. Our vines are influenced by their unique terroir and Tasmania’s long cool growing season, developing grape flavour, tannin physiology and acid balance.

Our 2022 Estate Chardonnay is fashioned in the classic, old world style. Light golden straw in colour, with serene floral notes together with, custard apple, pineapple and citrus aromas. Every mouthful is textured with rich layers of cream, toasted nuts and meal. The tannins are quite elegant. They drive and focus the length of this wine together with the fruit acidity, but they don’t assert themselves. Instead they balance the wine’s power and opulence.

2023 Primavera Chardonnay is straw gold in colour, with a shy green halo. On the nose it is intense and powerful showing notes of orchard fruits, white peach, meyer lemon and almond meal. The palate, like the nose, is concentrated and powerful, with with lemon, musk, pineapple, grapefruit and a bright acid line.
