Aromatic White Wines
Tasmania’s cool long growing season lends itself to grow cracking fruit driven white wine styles. We grow Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Malvasia, bursting with natural aromatics. They all have fantastic acid structure, due to the exemplary viticulture, that allows our winemaking to travel down the European path of up to 100% oak fermentation in large Foudres and old barrels depending on the variety. The idea here is not to create oak flavour but is a tool to temper the acid and at the same time build dimension and a facet of complexity. Our aromatics are all 100% free of synthetics and harmful chemicals. We put our environment, employees and our customers’ health first.
Our new release Riesling is beautifully balanced example of cool climate Riesling, it is a pure expression of terroir – crisp, incisive and dry. The texture is silky and rounded, this complexity coming from the wine’s 100% maturation in Austrian foudres. The previous vintage recently featured in Tyson Seltzer's top 250 wines of Australia of 2024.

Our 2022 Malvasia is medium gold in appearance. This handsome full bodied wine displays notes of elderflower, fuji apple, bosc pear, musk, marmalade, and aromas of freshly cut herbs such as thyme and oregano. The palate is rich and concentrated with a fine line of acidity. Honey, orange peel and green papaya flesh out the palate while soft well rounded tannins that gives a long and interesting finish. This complexity is due to the fermentation on skins and aging in Amphora.
